DIVING BOYS

used in Bahamas:-Samuel L.Smith, Miami, FL, reports(see scan) "On our card’s illustrated front, BARBADOES was carefully scratched off and to the right of Diving Boys is written “At Nassau” in substitution and beneath that “In memory of happy days…. F. A. Bullard”. On the left of its reverse is inscribed, “Merry Christmas / to you all. / F. A. & J. E. B.” Postmarked on a U.S. 1¢ stamp at New York, NY and Newark, NJ, USA, on Dec 16, 1905; it is probable that a number of these cards were altered thusly and drop-mailed in the U.S. on behalf of the Bullards"
